Corrections Policy

Accuracy matters. This policy explains how readers can flag issues and how our editorial team responds.

What to report

Readers can report factual inaccuracies, incorrect attribution, broken or misleading context, calculation errors, or information that may have become materially outdated.

How we review reports

An editor assesses the issue against reliable sources and the article's original evidence. We may contact the reader or contributor for clarification, but every submission does not necessarily lead to a change.

Factual corrections

Confirmed factual errors are corrected in the article. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a note when they do not alter meaning.

Outdated information

Rates, regulations and products can change. We review whether an update, date clarification, contextual note or article retirement best serves readers.

Significant corrections

When a correction materially changes the meaning or conclusion of an article, we add a clear note explaining what changed and when.

Report a possible error

Use our contact form and select “Correction.” Include the article title or link, the statement in question and any reliable source that may help us review it.
